Canterbury served as the head office of Rediffusion's South East Regional operations.
Rediffusion moved into it's new Canterbury offices on the Wincheap Industrial Estate in August 1973 bringing the service centre, workshops and branch and district offices all under one roof.
Rediffusion's vision network started in Canterbury in 1952 with nearly two thirds of homes in the city being connected to the service by the end of the 1970's.
